Damaune Journey is Global Chief Growth Officer at 72andSunny. In his role, Journey is responsible for global revenue and brand, which includes revenue operations, business development, high value client management, marketing and corporate communications.
As a member of the Global Leadership Team, he helps set strategy for the organization across the globe and advises the CEO directly. His role includes delivering revenue and brand opportunities across the broader Stagwell holding company network of 70+ marketing services agencies.
Prior to joining 72andSunny, Journey served as Chief Growth/Revenue Officer at Private Medical and TPG Growth portfolio company, Gavin de Becker & Associates, and Vice President and business unit leader at SoundThinking (formerly ShotSpotter), a VC-backed technology company, where he helped lead the firm’s 2016 NASDAQ IPO.
Journey currently serves as a director on the boards of Juma Ventures and Alpha Gamma Boulé Foundation, and has served as an advisory board member for the National Society of Black Engineers.
Journey earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
