Member Tara DeVeaux
CEO, Burrell Communications Group and BCG Worldwide
Tara DeVeaux is a growth-minded leader, marketer, and storyteller who has spent her career helping brands, businesses, and organizations navigate moments of change and possibility.
As CEO of BCG Worldwide, the first Black-owned agency network, Tara leads a private equity-backed enterprise owned by FVLCRUM Funds and View Park Capital. She believes culture and creativity are powerful drivers of business growth, especially when paired with strategic focus, operational discipline, and a deep understanding of the people a brand needs to reach.
Since joining Burrell Communications Group as CEO in 2023, Tara has helped lead the transformation of what many perceived as a legacy multicultural advertising agency into a modern marketing and cultural intelligence company. Following the acquisition of Fitzco in 2025, the collective became BCG Worldwide, expanding its capabilities across strategy, creative, analytics, social, digital, media, and cultural intelligence. Today, Tara leads enterprise growth, organizational transformation, and the continued evolution of a network built to develop thinking and creative that moves people and delivers measurable business impact.
Working within a private equity environment has expanded both how Tara thinks and how she operates. She works closely with ownership and the board on growth strategy, financial performance, integration, acquisition strategy, and building long-term enterprise value. At the center of her leadership philosophy is the belief that creativity and commerce are partners, not opposing forces. The strongest businesses need both the imagination to see what is possible and the discipline to turn that possibility into enduring value.
Earlier in her career, Tara spent many years in entertainment marketing, helping ensure the marketing was as compelling as the stories themselves. As Chief Marketing Officer of Wild Card Creative Group and Managing Director of its creative content division, 3AM, she helped evolve the agency’s strategic and creative approach, built its data-focused strategy and social content capabilities, and expanded the business beyond traditional entertainment.
Her work has included campaigns for HBO, Netflix, Apple TV+, Hulu, Peacock, Universal, MGM, Electronic Arts, adidas, Barbie, and Corona USA. Before joining Wild Card, Tara served as CMO of BBDO New York, where her new business team helped integrate audience data into the agency’s pitch process and drove more than $40 million in new business. Earlier in her BBDO career, her leadership on work for brands including PepsiCo, HBO, Electronic Arts, National Geographic Channel, and Kraft helped earn her teams more than 200 creative awards.
Tara is most energized in creative environments where ambitious ideas are encouraged, smart people challenge one another, and growth requires more than doing what has always been done. She is particularly interested in how companies unlock new growth, how storytelling creates real business value, and how leaders build organizations ready for what comes next.
