Paul Alexander is an accomplished marketing and communications executive and former Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, where he led strategies to strengthen the school’s global visibility and brand reputation.

Previously, Paul served as CMO of Eastern Bank, developing marketing, communications, social media, and PR strategies that contributed to three consecutive years of record profits and increased brand equity and employee engagement. He was also part of the leadership team that guided Eastern’s successful 2020 IPO.

Earlier, Paul served as EVP and Chief Communications Officer at Liberty Mutual Insurance, leading corporate brand marketing, advertising, communications, PR, events, and major sports sponsorships, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup and U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams.

Paul’s extensive board and community leadership has included the Association of National Advertisers, Johnson Outdoors, Skyword, The Ad Club of Boston, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, The Partnership, and Feeding America.

He was named among Boston’s 100 Most Influential People of Color in 2018.

Paul earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and undergraduate degree in Government from Harvard College. He and his wife, Evelyne Martial, have two adult children.
