BECA x CANNES
In 2025, BECA marked its fourth consecutive appearance at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. 9 Future Leaders earned the opportunity to attend the prestigious festival and present on the global stage. As winners of BECA’s Cannes Lions Competition, they led impactful discussions on topics such as the evolving role of AI in marketing: “The Power of Inclusion and Innovation.”
This year’s presence was even more special, as BECA Members and Future Leader alumni served as jurists and guest speakers, further showcasing the growing influence of BECA’s community in shaping the future of marketing and creativity. In total, 11 BECA Members and 8 Future Leaders gathered in Cannes, making this year another unforgettable experience filled with innovation, learning, and connection.

Exploring Cannes!
BECA Members and Future Leaders made a strong start at Cannes Lions 2025! The day opened with inspiring insights from our Founder & CEO, Jerri DeVard, at LinkedIn’s Black Joy Brunch. Future Leader Abena Afriye shared insights at Stagwell Studio, followed by an inspiring tour of the Grand Palais. The evening wrapped with the Forbes Top 50 Creators Celebration and a cozy group dinner at Bella Storia.









FCB Yacht
Our Future Leaders had the opportunity to gather aboard the FCB Global yacht, creating a vibrant space for connection and collaboration before taking the main stage at Cannes Lions. They were hosted by Desiree Pomales, Manager of Global New Business & Marketing at FCB Global, and had the opportunity to meet Tyler Turnbull, Global CEO of FCB, for an inspiring afternoon of meaningful dialogue and connection.


A Week of Impact
From impactful panels to meaningful conversations, BECA Future Leaders showed up with purpose and presence. At MediaLink Beach, they joined BECA Founder & CEO Jerri DeVard for a thought-provoking panel on “The Power of Inclusive Innovation,” sharing insights on marketing, leadership, and the future of the industry. Throughout the week, Future Leaders participated in on-camera interviews, connected with key executives like Chris Foster of Omnicom, and engaged in powerful one-on-one conversations about leadership and values. Along the way, they found moments of joy, laughter, and inspiration, topped off with a surprise appearance from will.i.am.
